Course Description: The learner demonstrates basic understanding of the fundamental processes in music and art, through performing, creating, listening and observing, and responding.
- Objectives: At the end of the quarter the students may be able to:
- demonstrate understanding of lines, shapes, colors and texture, and principles of balance, proportion and variety through drawing;
- use different drawing tools or materials- pencil, crayons, peice of charcoal, a stick on different papers, sinamay leaves, tree bark, and other local materials to create his drawing;
- create a drawing to express one’s ideas about oneself, one’s family, home and school;
- create a portrait of himself and his family which shows the elements and principles of art by drawing; and
- draw different kinds of plants and animals showing a variety of shapes, lines and color.
