COURSE OUTLINE

MATHEMATICS 2

FIRST  QUARTER

Course Description: In Mathematics 2, the learners demonstrate understanding and appreciate of key concepts and skills involving numbers and number sense ( whole numbers up to 1 000, ordinal numbers up to 20th, money up to PhP 100, the four fundamental operations of whole numbers, and unit fractions ); geometry ( Basic shapes, symmetry, and tessellations ); patterns and algebra ( continuous and repeating patterns and number sentences ); measurement ( time, length, mass and capacity ); and statistics and probability ( tables, pictograph, and outcome ) as applied – applied – using appropriate technology – in critical thinking, problem solving, reasoning, communicating, making connections, representations and decisions in real life.

I.Objectives: At the end of the quarter, the students will be able to:

1.) demonstrates understanding of whole numbers up to 1000, ordinal numbers up to 20th , and money up to PhP100;
